What is the Computer Test Bank (CTB)?
The Prentice Hall ExamView Pro Computer Test Bank (CTB) is designed as a tool for creating tests, exams, quizzes, or even review exercises. The user can print or modify existing tests supplied by Prentice Hall, or create new tests with a variety of questions.
System Requirements
Macintosh
- PowerPC processor, 100 MHz
- System 7.5 (or a more recent version)
- Color monitor
- CD-ROM and/or high-density floppy disk drive
- Hard drive with at least 7 MB space available
- 8 MB available memory (16 MB recommended)
- An Internet connection with System 8.6 (or higher) to access the Internet test-hosting features
Windows
- Pentium processor
- Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 2000 (or a more recent version)
- Color monitor (VGA-compatible)
- CD-ROM and/or high-density floppy disk drive
- Hard drive with at least 7 MB space available
- 8 MB available memory (16 MB recommended)
- An Internet connection to access the Internet test-hosting features
Installation Instructions
Installing and Starting the ExamView Pro CTB V3.0 Software
It is recommended that virus protection, disk-security, and other open programs be turned off prior to installing the CTB v3.0. Use the following steps to install the CTB v3.0 software.
Windows 95, 98 or 2000
1. Insert the ExamView Pro CTB into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Launch the ExamView Pro CTB installer by double-clicking the file called "setup.exe" on the CD-ROM. Or, choose "Run d:\setup.exe" from the Start menu and press Enter. If necessary, substitute the appropriate drive letter for your CD-ROM drive.
3. Choose the destination location of the CTB program. The default location is the C:\ drive. Use the Browse feature to change this, if desired.
4. The installer includes the ExamView Pro v3.0 Computer Test Bank User's Guide, which can be viewed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have this installed on your system, the Reader installation program is included on the CD-ROM. Double-click the Reader Installer icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Be sure to follow the instructions for registering your software.
6. To start the program, locate and open the ExamView Pro program in the directory you specified and then double-click the ExamView Pro v3.0 icon.
Macintosh
1. Insert the ExamView Pro CTB CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
2. Double click the ExamView Pro Installer.
3. Select the folder where you want the program to be located. The default location is on your startup drive. To change this location, click on the "Switch Disk" button and select the desired disk.
4. The installer includes the ExamView Pro v3.0 Computer Test Bank User's Guide, which can be viewed using the Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not already have this installed on your system, the Reader installation program is included on the CD-ROM. Double-click the Reader Installer icon and follow the on-screen instructions.
5. Be sure to follow the instructions for registering your software.
6. To start the program, locate and open the ExamView Pro program in the directory you specified and then double-click the ExamView Pro icon.
